About the Pornstar Martini
The Pornstar Martini (or Porn Star Martini, depending on who you ask) is a delicious cocktail despite its dubious name. Originally invented around 2002 by Douglas Ankrah of The Townhouse in London, it has since become a global hit.The Pornstar Martini consists of two parts: the cocktail itself, made with vodka, passion fruit purée, vanilla syrup, and fresh lime juice; and the shot of champagne or sparkling rosé, which is served on the side. It's certainly glamorous, but it does take quite a while to prepare the ingredients.While you can use standard vodka in the Pornstar Martini, it can also be fun to make some of your own vanilla-infused vodka by adding a fresh, sliced vanilla pod to a bottle and shaking it periodically for a week.Getting your hands on a passion fruit to garnish your Pornstar Martini may be a bit of a challenge—our best suggestion is to check the Asian grocery stores.

How to Make a Pornstar Martini
The Pornstar Martini is typically served in a Coupe Glass.
Ingredients
| 2 oz vodka | ||
| 1 oz passion fruit purée | ||
| 1 oz vanilla syrup | ||
| 0.5 oz lime juice | ||
| Sparkling wine (preferably rosé) | ||
| Half a passion fruit for garnish |
Preparation
- Add vodka, passion fruit purée, vanilla syrup, and lime juice to a cocktail shaker with ice and shake until chilled.
- Strain into a chilled coupe glass.
- Float half a passion fruit in the drink for garnish.
- Fill a shot glass with sparkling wine and serve on the side.
