DeLeón Diamante Tequila is an award-winning, luxury tequila joven produced in Mexico’s Jalisco Highlands. Diamante, like all tequilas in DeLeón’s portfolio, is made exclusively from Highland Blue Weber agave plants, which are harvested at the height of ripeness for a smooth, sweet flavor.DeLeón’s master distillers use traditional methods to roast and crush the agave, and ferment and distill the liquid released by the piñas—or heart—of the agave plants. Before bottling, select aged tequila—or añejo—is blended into the joven, resulting in an off-white, complex spirit with flavors of agave, baking spice, honey, delicate citrus, vanilla, and toasted oak.The World Beverage Competition named DeLeón Diamante a ‘Best in Show Grand Prize Winner’ at their 2009-2010 event.
