Clear Creek Pear-in-Bottle Pear Brandy

Pear Brandy

Clear Creek Pear Brandy is a classic, European-style clear pear brandy made from Williams pears (known in the United States and Canada as Bartlett pears). It is made entirely from locally-grown Oregon pears, and according to the distillers, it takes 20 pounds of pears to make one 750 ml bottle. This is regarded as one of the best pear brandies in the world, let alone in the US, with vibrant, fruity aromas and flavors that make it truly a joy to sip neat.

This pear-in-bottle expression is produced by placing the bottle over promising pear blossoms and allowing it to grow inside the glass. The fruit is then harvested, bottle and all, and meticulously cleaned by hand before filling with brandy.

Clear Creek Distillery was founded in 1985 by legendary distiller Stephen McCarthy, making it one of the oldest craft distilleries in the United States. Located in Portland, Oregon, it is known for its wide range of fruit brandies, liqueurs, grappa, and even a single malt whiskey.
