Korbel VSOP Brandy is one of Korbel’s more mature offerings, aged for a minimum of four years in charred American oak (the legal requirement to earn the VSOP label, which stands for “very superior old pale”). It’s quite affordable and makes for a good bottle to have around the house for sipping or use in brandy cocktails.

Founded by Francis Korbel in Northern California’s Russian River Valley in 1882, Korbel began as a winery producing sparkling wines in the style of classic French champagne. Seven years later, they began distilling brandy, and have been a household name ever since.
