Fresh berries and citrus make this cocktail irresistible on any day of the year, but especially on a sunny, summer day on a warm patio. The fresh basil and lemon tame the sweetness to make this cocktail light with just the right element of tartness.

Berry Jive Ingredients

2.5 oz Montanya Platino Rum
.75 oz triple syrup (1:1 ratio: 1 part sugar+agave+honey, 1 part water, bring to boil in pan)
1 oz fresh squeezed orange juice
1 oz fresh squeezed lemon juice
3 fresh strawberries
4 mint leaves
2 basil leaves

How to make a Berry Jive

  1. In an empty cocktail shaker, muddle the strawberries, 3 mint leaves (save one as garnish), and basil leaves.
  2. Add the fluids, add ice, and shake vigorously.
  3. Strain and pour over ice into the glass.
  4. Garnish with a mint leaf and fresh berry.
