Bloody Margarita Recipe

Tequila, Blood Orange Juice, Lime Juice, Cointreau
Bloody Margarita
The Bloody Margarita is a delicious Margarita variation made with blood orange juice. This gives it a slightly sweeter, fruitier profile than the classic recipe, as well as a bright red hue that makes it great for Halloween parties. That said, the Bloody Margarita is fantastic all year round, whether as a midsummer refresher or a tropical escape from the dead of winter.

Bloody Margarita Ingredients

2 oz tequila
0.75 oz Cointreau
1 oz blood orange juice
0.5 oz fresh lime juice
Blood orange or lime wheel for garnish
Kosher salt for rim

How to make a Bloody Margarita

  1. Run a lime wedge along the rim of a chilled Margarita or cocktail glass, then dip the rim in kosher salt.
  2. Add tequila, Cointreau, blood orange juice, and lime juice to a cocktail shaker with ice and shake until chilled.
  3. Strain into Margarita or cocktail glass.
  4. Garnish with a lime wheel and serve.
