One of the original 5 burough cocktails of New York City, the Brooklyn Cocktail originally featured a liqueur called Amer Picon which is nearly impossible to find today in the United States. Because of this, it has become a modern favorite of cocktail makers who eagerly put their stamp on the drink by substituting an endless array of bitter replacements.
