The Calvados Cream cocktail is similar to a Whiskey Sour, but made with everyone’s favorite French apple brandy (as well as a bit of cream and pineapple syrup). It’s a really simple drink, but a deliciously creamy one. Make sure to serve it cold and drink it relatively quickly, though, as the lemon juice will cause the cream to curdle over time.
|2 oz Calvados brandy|
|0.5 oz lemon juice|
|0.5 oz egg|
|1 oz cream|
|1 tsp pineapple syrup|
Preparation: How to make a Calvados Cream
- Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker without ice and dry-shake (hard) for a few seconds to froth the egg white.
- Add ice to the shaker and shake again until chilled.
- Double-strain into a cocktail glass and serve.
