Calvados Cream

The Calvados Cream cocktail is similar to a Whiskey Sour, but made with everyone’s favorite French apple brandy (as well as a bit of cream and pineapple syrup). It’s a really simple drink, but a deliciously creamy one. Make sure to serve it cold and drink it relatively quickly, though, as the lemon juice will cause the cream to curdle over time.


2 oz Calvados brandy
0.5 oz lemon juice
0.5 oz egg
1 oz cream
1 tsp pineapple syrup

Preparation: How to make a Calvados Cream

  1. Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker without ice and dry-shake (hard) for a few seconds to froth the egg white.
  2. Add ice to the shaker and shake again until chilled.
  3. Double-strain into a cocktail glass and serve.
