Jockey Club Recipe

This classic equestrian tipple shares its name with the breed registry for all Thoroughbreds born in North America. It’s a delightfully rich variation on the traditional Manhattan, mixing bourbon and sweet vermouth with maraschino liqueur. Our recipe comes from advisory board member and master distiller Allen Katz.

1.5 oz Bourbon
1 oz Sweet vermouth
.25 oz Maraschino liqueur
Garnish: Brandied cherry

Preparation: How to make a Jockey Club

  1. Add the whiskey to a Collins glass filled with ice.
  2. Fill with ginger ale and garnish with a long strip of lemon peel.
