Jockey Club

This classic equestrian tipple shares its name with the breed registry for all Thoroughbreds born in North America. It’s a delightfully rich variation on the traditional Manhattan, mixing bourbon and sweet vermouth with maraschino liqueur. Our recipe comes from Liquor.com advisory board member and master distiller Allen Katz.

Ingredients

1.5 oz Bourbon
1 oz Sweet vermouth
.25 oz Maraschino liqueur
Garnish: Brandied cherry

Preparation: How to make a Jockey Club

  1. Add the whiskey to a Collins glass filled with ice.
  2. Fill with ginger ale and garnish with a long strip of lemon peel.
