Kir Recipe

The Kir, named for the post-war mayor of Dijon, France, Felix Kir (apparently he had some pull with the liqueur industry there), is a super simple cocktail made with white wine and crème de cassis. It’s light, fruity, and not much higher in alcohol content than a regular glass of wine, so it’s great for brunch or an indulgent after-dinner drink.

6 oz dry white wine
0.5 oz crème de cassis

Preparation: How to make a Kir

  • Add chilled white wine and crème de cassis to a white wine glass and serve.
