Michelada Recipe

The Michelada blends two great brunch-cocktail qualities: it's bubbly, and it's savory. Less sweet than a Mimosa and less boozy than a Bloody Mary, this is a great excuse to drink beer at any time of day. Plus, Michelada is just so dang fun to say you'll find yourself ordering them just to tell people about it.

Michelada Ingredients

Mexican lager beer, chilled
0.5 oz lime juice
2 dashes Tabasco sauce
2 dashes Worcestershire sauce
Pinch celery salt
Pinch ground black pepper
Cayenne pepper
Lime wedge

How to make a Michelada

  1. Rub the edge of a pint glass with your lime wedge, then rim it with a mixture of salt and cayenne pepper.
  2. Add lime juice, Tabasco, Worcestershire sauce, celery salt, and ground black pepper to the glass.
  3. Fill with a Mexican lager like Modelo, Tecate, or any other brand of your choosing.
  4. Garnish with a lime wedge.
