Palomaesque Recipe

Mezcal, Cocchi Americano, Grapefruit Juice, Lime Juice, Salt, Soda Water

A variation on the Paloma that uses mezcal, fresh grapefruit juice, honey, and the Italian aperitif wine Cocchi Americano.

Ingredients

1 oz mezcal
1.5 oz Cocchi Americano
1 oz fresh grapefruit juice
.5 oz fresh lime juice
Pinch of salt
1.5 oz soda water
1/2 grapefruit wheel

Preparation: How to make a Palomaesque

  1. In a cocktail shaker, stir the mezcal with the honey until dissolved.
  2. Add the Cocchi Americano, grapefruit juice, lime juice and salt.
  3. Fill the shaker with ice and shake until chilled.
  4. Fill a large glass with ice and add the seltzer and grapefruit wheel. Strain the cocktail into the glass and serve.
