Often the first Manhattan variation to come to mind, the Perfect Manhattan takes a bit of the sweet edge off of the original by using equal parts dry and sweet vermouth. The “perfect” naming convention holds true throughout several other recipes as well, like the Perfect Martini.
|2 oz rye whiskey|
|0.5 oz sweet vermouth|
|0.5 oz dry vermouth|
|2 dashes Angostura bitters|
|Lemon or orange twist|
Preparation: How to make a Perfect Manhattan
- Stir well in a mixing glass filled with ice.
- Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
- Garnish and serve.
