A delicious coffee cocktail from Tacoma, Washington bartender Chris Langston, the South of No North is a delicate, silky drink with a healthy dose of joe to round things out. Made with reposado tequila, Cynar artichoke liqueur, simple syrup, coffee, and egg white, it’s a bizarre-sounding combination that ends up being surprisingly cohesive.
|1.5 oz reposado tequila|
|0.5 oz Cynar artichoke liqueur|
|0.5 oz simple syrup|
|1 oz cold coffee|
|1 egg white|
Preparation: How to make a South of No North
- Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker without ice and dry-shake (hard) for 30 seconds or so.
- Add ice to the shaker and shake until chilled.
- Double-strain into a chilled cocktail glass and serve.
