The Spicy Mule is a Moscow Mule variation that definitely has some kick, and not just from the vodka. Jalapeño peppers spice this cocktail up and make it a deliciously zippy drink. While it looks like a summertime tipple, the combination of hot peppers and ginger might just make the Spicy Mule a perfect for warming up in the dead of winter, too.

Spicy Mule Ingredients

Jalapeño pepper (1 makes about 6 drinks)
1 oz freshly squeezed lime juice
4 oz ginger beer
0.5 oz orange liqueur (such as Grand Marnier or Cointreau)
2 oz vodka

How to make a Spicy Mule

  1. Thinly slice the jalapeno and muddle a few slices with the lime juice and orange liqueur in a copper mug or Collins glass.
  2. Add ice and stir in the vodka and ginger beer.
  3. Garnish with a slice or two of jalapeño and serve.
