Named after the Suburban Handicap horse race, a New York classic dating back to 1884, this is a great cocktail for chilly evenings by the fireside. It also might be the only combination of rye, rum, and port we’ve ever come across—as strange as that sounds, it’s delicious.
1 1/2 oz rye whiskey
1/2 oz dark rum
1/2 oz port
1 dash orange bitters
1 dash Angostura bitters
Preparation: How to make a Suburban
