The Victoria is a simple mix of good ingredients that creates a slightly sweet yet slightly tort drink perfect for summer days or after dinner.
Created on a whim in the summer of 2014 by Ryan Harman of The Cocktail Guys at The Glass Jar in Margate, UK this cocktail quickly rose to popularity and sold as well as Manhattans and Martinis.
Best made with a botanical driven Gin like Hendricks or Caorunn The Victoria is defined by your choice of Apple Juice. Cheap supermarket juice and the drink becomes a little too sweet, Cloudy cider style juice and it’s a little too tart. Balance is the key to this drink and you may need to try 2 or 3 before you find the right juice (No bad thing as at least you get to drink them).
Best served in a chilled Coupe Glass with a Cucumber Twist but a Martini Glass or a Cucumber Wheel can work in a pinch.
