While there’s not actually any turkey in this cocktail (I’d probably have to drink a few too many of something else before I tried that), the name and the pumpkin butter (recipe here) scream Thanksgiving. This is a fun recipe for entertaining over the holidays, but I love it all year round!
2 oz Wild Turkey 101 Bourbon
1 tablespoon pumpkin butter
0.25 ounce lemon juice, from one lemon
10 fresh sage leaves
2 dashes Angostura bitters
Preparation: How to make a Turkey and Sage Cocktail
- Reserve one sage leaf for garnish and muddle the rest gently in a cocktail shaker.
- Fill the shaker with ice. Add bourbon, pumpkin butter, lemon juice, and bitters. Shake until chilled, about 20 seconds.
- Strain into a chilled coupe glass and float a sage leaf on top for garnish.
