Mezan Trinidad 1996 Rum is a blend of rums distilled at the now-defunct Caroni distillery on the island of Trinidad. It was blended by Mezan and underwent a secondary aging in ex-bourbon oak casks to marry the flavors before bottling.

Mezan prides itself on producing completely unadulterated rum, using no artificial coloring, added sugar, or other flavorings—all that’s in the bottle is rum and water. As a result, their rums tend to be light in color for their age, reflecting a more natural hue than the dark rums to which most of us are accustomed.
