Espolòn Añejo tequila is an excellent aged tequila, and competes with (or blows out of the water) bottles that go for more than twice the price. It’s a relatively new entry to the market, and people seem to like what they’ve tasted—it won a gold medal at the 2015 San Francisco World Spirits Competition, and garnered an impressive 97 from the Beverage Testing Institute in 2008. In a category that’s long been know for overpriced añejos, this is a welcome addition to the pantheon.
