Booker's Small Batch Bourbon is produced by Jim Beam, and is sometimes referred to as a single-barrel bourbon due to the fact that it, well, comes from a single barrel (with no blending or filtering). As a result, it's bottled at a very high cask-strength proof, and the ABV varies from year to year, depending on the batch. It's usually aged between six and eight years, and is one of the most premium expressions from the Jim Beam distillery.
Booker's Bourbon has gained fame in recent years and enjoyed resounding critical acclaim, especially for their 2016 Booker's Rye, which was named "World Whiskey of the Year" by Jim Murray's Whisky Bible 2017. Each year's batches are unique, representing distinctive nuances of their barrels and blending by Master Distiller Fred Noe. The Booker's Bourbon brand is named for his father, Booker Noe, the sixth generation of Beam family Master Distillers.
