Jim Beam Rye

Rye Whiskey

Jim Beam Pre-Prohibition Rye Whiskey is the a re-branding of their original rye, though it seems to be the same stuff inside the bottle. It's not the most impressive rye in the world, especially as the category has seen a resurgence in recent years, but it's affordable and not bad for mixing in whiskey cocktails.

Jim Beam is, today, the largest bourbon producer in the world. Founded in the 1790s by Jacob Beam (though it was renamed for James Beam in 1933), the continuous operation of their distillery in Clermont, Kentucky was only interrupted during Prohibition—other than that, they've been at it for more than 200 years.
