Cadillac Margarita Recipe

Tequila, Triple Sec, Lime Juice, Grand Marnier, Salt

About the Cadillac Margarita
The Cadillac Margarita is more or less a standard Margarita, but it has an extra little float of Grand Marnier on top to class it up. The orange-flavored cognac liqueur blends beautifully with the other flavors, and complements the standard triple sec.To make a Cadillac Margarita, you start out by making a classic Margarita: add tequila (blanco or reposado, typically), triple sec (Cointreau if you want to be fancy, which you probably do if you're making this in the first place), and fresh-squeezed lime juice to a shaker with ice and shake until chilled, then strain into a Margarita glass or cocktail glass. For the float, gently pour a bit of Grand Marnier into the drink over a barspoon. This will keep it on the surface of the cocktail, and give it that classic Cadillac Margarita taste on the first sip.
