Jason Alexander, owner of Tacoma’s Devil’s Reef, suggested this recipe when asked to share his thoughts on a rummy Sidecar and plays perfectly into a French theme.This recipe would also work quite well with other moderately-aged dry rums like Mount Gay Eclipse or the new Bacardi Cuatro.

Ingredients

2 oz Plantation Barbados 5 Years Rum
0.5 oz Pierre Ferrand Dry Curacao
1 oz Lemon Juice
1 tbsp powdered sugar

Preparation

  • Shake well with ice, and strain into a chilled coupe.
