Ingredients
2 oz bourbon or rye whiskey | ||
0.25 oz maraschino liqueur (about 1-1.5 barspoons, to taste) | ||
2 dashes Angostura bitters | ||
2 dashes Peychaud's bitters | ||
2 dashes absinthe |
Preparation
- Muddle sugar cube, maraschino liqueur, bitters, and absinthe in the bottom of a mixing glass (the sugar cube is true to original form, but can also substitute 0.25 oz of simple syrup instead).
- Add ice, and the whiskey, and stir well.
- Strain into a chilled Old-fashioned glass over a big ice cube (can optionally build directly in the Old-Fashioned glass).
- Garnish with an orange or lemon peel.
