- A stemmed cocktail glass distinguished by its curved sides (as opposed to the straight, angled sides of a Martini glass), used for serving cocktails that are stirred or shaken and served without ice. The coupe glass was originally used primarily for champagne, but in recent decades has become a popular cocktail glass, in large part because it is less prone to spillage than a Martini glass.
