- A whisky-producing region located in Strathspey, the area around the mouth of the river Spey in northeastern Scotland. Speyside is known for producing some of the most famous single malt scotch whiskies in the world. These whiskies tend to have a rich, malty character, and generally lack the peaty smokiness of their cousins on the Islands.
