What is a Bottle?
In the world of cocktails, bottles can be used for just about anything. Most commonly, though, they’re put to use storing batched cocktails (that is, cocktails made in large quantities before an event), or making infused spirits.
Typically, cocktails batched into a sealed bottle (as opposed to something like a pitcher or punch bowl) don’t contain any carbonated ingredients like sparkling wine or soda, as they’re liable to explode if they get shaken up.
Bottles can also be used for plenty of other cocktail-adjacent ingredients, like simple syrup (we like using those swing-top bottles), fresh juices, and even homemade bitters.
