We’re in wrap-up mode following the 11th annual Tales of the Cocktail. And some of the biggest news from the festival happens each year at the Spirited Awards, in which trophies are presented in categories ranging from best bar and best drinks menu to best new product. This year’s event was a Great Gatsby-themed affair, which took place at the Hyatt Regency Hotel.
When it was all over, the tally showed a big win for New York, as the city earned awards for its many great cocktail bars, restaurant bars and hotel bars. The most prolific of that mix: The Clover Club in Brooklyn and The Dead Rabbit in NYC.
See below for a selection of some of the evenings biggest awards. And then the next time you find yourself in one of the fine cities below (or you require a new book or bottle of gin), you’ll know where to turn.
