This week Booker’s Bourbon announced a limited edition bourbon release to celebrate the brand’s 25th anniversary. This is welcome news for fans of the fiery bourbon. The release, dubbed Batch No. 2014-1, pays homage to its namesake, 6th Generation Beam Master Distiller, Booker Noe.
To mark the occasion, Beam distiller and Booker’s son, Fred Noe, selected barrels that were aged longer than any Booker’s Bourbon batch to-date. Their age falls between nine and 11 years, and like the original Booker’s Bourbon, Batch No. 2014-1 is uncut, unfiltered and bottled at its natural proof (between 121 and 130). And according to the brand, the resulting whiskey has a robust vanilla nose with flavors ranging from oak tannins to mocha notes. Drinking it with some ice or a little water will cut through that high proof and bring out more flavors.
Booker’s Bourbon Batch No. 2014-1 is available in select markets now, and will be rolling our nationwide this March with a suggested retail price of $99.99. Those quantities are limited, so move quickly if you want to secure a bottle for yourself.
