This week, Glenfiddich rolled through town to showcase its Scotch whisky lineup, to celebrate its 125th birthday and to unveil its newest creation — the Malt Master’s Edition. This limited-edition single malt was created by Malt Master Brian Kinsman, and only 18,000 bottles are available in the United States.
The Malt Master’s Edition adopts a double maturation process, aging the whisky in both ex-sherry and ex-bourbon casks. The result is a whisky that’s complex in taste, as both casks impart their own characteristic and flavors to the spirit.
Glenfiddich Malt Master’s Edition is a rich, amber-to-red whisky with a complex nose of earth, wood, vanilla and light smoke. There’s an initial hint of acidic fruit, which fades to a spicy, fruity character of plum and cherry. Throughout, you’ll find notes of vanilla, caramel and toasted almonds. The finish is silky, smooth and lasts forever.
Glenfiddich Malt Master’s Edition clocks in at 43% ABV and retails for $79.99. It’s bottled with no age statement. Look for it at select retailers nationwide.
Your post is providing some really good information. I liked its essence and enjoyed reading it. Keep sharing such important posts.
This looks like a nice addition to the Glenfiddich range. The price doesn’t look too bad either.
