Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Rye is the final culmination of a product cycle that included an unaged rye, a rested rye, and a single barrel offering. Now, Jack is ready to debut the finished product, which will hit shelves in October.
The new rye sports a grain bill that is 70% rye, 18% corn and 12% malted barley. It’s smooth and easy-drinking, as far as ryes go–thanks in part to the brand’s signature charcoal mellowing process.
But there’s still plenty of bold rye spice to make this whiskey a good contender for classic rye cocktails.
“This is rye whiskey made Jack’s way,” said Master Distiller Jeff Arnett. “We think our grain bill provides the ideal taste and character–one that’s bold and balanced and not dominated by one flavor.”
Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Rye will be available across the U.S. in 50ml, 750ml and one-liter bottles. You can expect to pay about $27 for the 750ml bottle.
