Art Beyond the Glass Oakland
Hello Stranger, Oakland

Founded in Los Angeles in 2011, Art Beyond the Glass showcases bartender artistry, both inside and beyond the glass. At every ABTG event, everything is created by bartenders, from the drinks to the paintings, photography, and music.

More than just a good time, ABTG is dedicated to raising funds for arts nonprofits across the country. Since its inception, the organization has donated more than $150,000. And, for the first time, it’s popping up in Oakland on Sunday, October 21.

Proceeds from ABTG Oakland will be donated to Creative Growth Art Center, an Oakland-based nonprofit that provides studios, gallery space, and supplies to more than 150 artists with developmental, mental, and physical disabilities.

The Oakland event will take place at Hello Stranger, which is located in the nightlife heart of Oakland above the 19th Street BART Station. Since opening in June of this year, the bar has already received national acclaim for its high energy approach to craft cocktails.

In addition to all the art—which, in years past, has including everything from oil paintings and photography to impromptu dueling guitars and tap dance performances—ABTG Oakland guests will be treated to plenty of great drinks from some of the Bay Area’s top bartenders.
