The Brandy Milk Punch is a classic cocktail that dates back a couple hundred years, but it’s most famously associated with Brennan’s Restaurant in New Orleans. The rich and delicious drink makes a great nightcap or, even better, a companion to brunch. The milk is fortifying and the brandy is brandy. So consider your hangover vanquished.

2.5 oz whole milk
4 dashes vanilla extract
Shake all ingredients with ice, then strain into a highball over fresh ice and garnish with freshly-grated nutmeg.
