Yesterday Brown-Forman announced the release of Collingwood Whisky, a new Canadian spirit that will hit store shelves this month. Collingwood will be the only maplewood mellowed Canadian whiskey available on the market.
The whiskey is triple distilled and then matured in white oak barrels. It’s finished by mellowing the blended whiskey with toasted Maplewood, which adds sweetness to the spirit while reducing natural astringency.
Collingwood, which sports an interesting flask-shaped design, will be initially available in Texas, Florida, Kentucky and Louisiana, hitting more markets throughout 2011. Each bottle clocks in at 80 proof, and a 750ml bottle will retail for around $27.
purchased a bottle for a gift to a friend. He has always been and Crown man. I think I’ve changed him. Great taste and smooth drink. He telling everyone.
i take it to the cigar shop i frequent in Texas and everyone who has tried it is thouroughly impressed with its taste, smoothness and cost. i look forward to finding it in other states when io travel
I purchased a bottle recently. Excellent taste, very smooth. Highly recommend this brand.
Just bought a bottle yesterday GREAT WHISKEY the smoothest i’ve ever had, matter of fact took it to a friends house and we sat down and compared it to Crown Royal Cask 16 and the Collingwood was by far smoother than the more expensive crown.
