Jack Daniel’s Distillery in Tennessee is North America’s oldest registered distillery, and it makes the world’s best selling whiskey. In addition to the ubiquitous Old No. 7, Jack also produces Gentleman Jack, Tennessee Honey, a rye whiskey, and several other expressions. But now, you can add bitters to the brand’s portfolio.
Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Cocktail Bitters are made from a base of Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey, and include notes of vanilla, dark berry, maple, ginger, and wood. They were created in partnership with Whiskey Barrel Foods. And lest you forget who made the stuff, the bitters are packaged in a small bottle that shares a similar shape and label to Old No. 7.
“These aromatic bitters are made specifically to work with the flavors of Jack Daniel’s,” says ET Tecosky, Jack Daniel’s U.S. Brand Ambassador. “Add a few drops to cocktails that call for bitters and even some that don’t.” For starters, you can try dosing your next Old-Fashioned or Manhattan.
The three-ounce bottles of Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Cocktail Bitters are available online at Whiskey Barrel Foods for $15.
