a bottle of Angel’s Envy 10 Cask Strength on a wooden table

Angel’s Envy is preparing to launch its first ever age-stated release. Angel’s Envy 10 Cask Strength spent a cumulative decade in new American oak barrels and port wine barrels, and now it’s ready for its debut. The new bourbon will launch nationwide on October 10.

Angels Envy 10 Cask Strength was developed by Master Distiller Owen Martin and bottled at 122.6 proof, making this expression one of the brand’s highest ABV releases to date.

Per the brand:

Angel’s Envy 10 Cask Strength opens with aromas of sweet cinnamon toast and creamy fruit nougat layered over candied nuts. The palate reveals rich notes of baklava, followed by ripe apricot, crème brûlée, and cognac, accented with a subtle hint of grains of paradise. The port barrels influence shines through on the finish, delivering indulgent notes of rum raisin cake.

The October 10 release date carries special significance. It was originally planned as the launch for Angel’s Envy back in October 2010, but founder Lincoln Henderson chose to delay it because the whiskey didn’t yet meet his standards. So they’re coming full circle with this release, and paying tribute to the brand’s origin.

Angel’s Envy 10 Cask Strength bourbon will be available at select U.S. retailers and at the Angel’s Envy Distillery in Louisville. It’s priced at $249.99, and there will be less than 25,000 bottles available. So it’s not super-limited, but if you want to score one for yourself, know that it will likely go fast.
