After pursuing a degree in Medieval history, playing classical and indie rock piano, working as a photo archivist, becoming a beauty school dropout, metalsmithing, jewelry design, enameling and graphic design, Amanda Schuster discovered there is such a thing as wine school. She managed to make it through viticulture and vinification at the American Sommelier Association and worked in the wine and spirits retail sector for several years as a sales consultant and buyer. She always had a thirst for writing, so it made sense to finally bring it all home and become a bi-spiritual booze writer.
