As 2015 draws to a close and the world gets ready to ring in a new year, we wanted to just take a moment to reflect on this past year at Bevvy, celebrate some milestones, and give thanks to our friends, families, advisors, bartenders, craft producers, users, viewers, and all of the other great people we’ve met along the way.

It’s been a pivotal year for us in a lot of ways, namely:
- the little side project that was Bevvy became a real product and early-stage startup
- we’ve iterated, enhanced, and launched many new product features
- we continue to hand-curate our content obsessively, improving the quality of our recipes and other data
- we hired our first staff writers, who have been keeping busy covering everything from drink culture to the best bars to cocktail geek-outs to (perhaps our favorite) meeting with passionate bartenders and producers and telling their stories
- we published our first ever cocktail video, utilizing all of the secret tricks taught by The Morgenthaler Method
- and on Repeal Day (December 5) we launched the Bevvy Spirits catalog, making it easy to learn about spirit products and discover new brands
What a way to end the year! It’s immensely rewarding to see that people like our little idea of building a product and community around helping people drink better as much as we do.
Our mission at Bevvy is to connect the world to excellent drinking, and we’ll continue to do just that in 2016. This mantra drives everything that we do and create, from our product to our content to the community that we’re building.
Keep an eye out for more product enhancements to help you find home bartending inspiration, and discover the best drinks, bars, and bartenders in the world. We’ll also be sharing more interviews and coverage of booze producers, their products, and their stories, as well as adding more products to our database so you can explore and compare an even broader selection of fine spirits. Look to meet more of your fellow imbibers, and hear their stories of how they’re drinking better. And of course, there’ll be a few special surprises thrown in throughout the year.
As we’ve said before, it’s a great time to be a drinker. Excellent bar and cocktail programs are popping up everywhere, from the cities to the suburbs and all around the world. The craft distilling and craft brewing movements continue their charge, and there are great new products to be tasted every day. Perhaps most importantly, there’s just more information out there than ever before.
Whether you’re looking to research popular cocktail recipes, geek out on the history of a classic drink, find a good hair of the dog to nurse that hangover, or pick out an amazing whiskey for your significant other, Bevvy will be there to help, in 2016 and beyond.
