The seventh iteration of Thirst Boston will commence on September 14th, and this time you might call it a national event. That’s because its classes and seminars are entirely online and admission-free, allowing those from anywhere in the U.S. and beyond to take part.

As in years past, the events blend local industry figures with those from elsewhere in the country and beyond. Notably, a class titled Rum Here and Now: Growth, Success, Stress, and an Unknown Future” will include Maggie Campbell of MA’s Privateer Rum alongside Global Rum Ambassador Ian Burrell, Foursquare Master Blender Richard Seale, Worthy Park Estate’s Zan Kong, and Benjamin Mélin-Jones of Spiribam for a globally minded conversation on rum.

The day’s events also include a class on tequila cocktails and tortilla-making, an overview of Italian spirits, and a cocktail trivia event with cash prizes. So, if you can have the day off—or can postpone a few Zoom meetings—consider sating your thirst from home this Monday.
